Credits are the single currency for everything you generate on Bno AI. Instead of separate quotas for images, videos, and music, one balance covers all of it — each generation deducts a number of credits based on what you're creating. This guide explains exactly what things cost, how the three plans compare, when credits expire, and how to stretch them further.
What does each operation cost?
Images are priced per image, by model and resolution:

Image editing (image-to-image) costs the same as text-to-image on models that support image-to-image — uploading a reference doesn't change the price.
Video is priced per clip, and the spread is wide: from 9 credits for the cheapest configuration (Grok Imagine 1.5, 6 seconds at 480p) up to 704 credits for the heaviest (Seedance 2.0, 10 seconds at 1080p). Duration, resolution, and the model itself all factor in. Importantly, video is gated by credits, not by plan — any account with enough balance can generate, subscription or not. Music generation consumes credits per track.
Two things keep this predictable. First, you always see the price before you pay it: the generator UI displays the exact credit cost for your current settings before you hit generate. Second, video cost scales with duration and resolution — a shorter, lower-resolution clip costs meaningfully less than a long high-resolution one, and you can compare configurations before committing.

Yearly billing is a flat 50% off across paid plans: yearly total = monthly price × 12 × 0.5, paid upfront, with credits granted each month. That's how Pro lands at $120/year and Ultimate at $240/year.
The Free plan also includes unlimited basic generations on the slow queue, so the 10 daily credits are a floor for fast-mode work, not a hard ceiling on experimentation.
When do credits expire or refresh?
The rules differ by plan, and they're worth knowing:
- Free tier: your balance resets to 10 credits at 00:00 UTC each day. If you already have more than 10, the balance is preserved — the daily reset never takes credits away.
- Pro and Ultimate: credits are granted monthly (on both monthly and yearly billing) and accumulate during the active subscription period. Unused credits don't vanish at the end of each month — they expire when the subscription ends.
Practical implication: a light month on a Pro plan isn't wasted. Those credits roll forward as long as you stay subscribed.
Failed generations are refunded automatically
If a generation fails — a model error, a timeout, anything downstream — the credits charged for that attempt are refunded automatically. You don't need to file a ticket or contact support; the refund shows up in your credit transactions. Retrying a failed generation never double-charges you.
This matters more than it sounds: it means the listed cost is the cost of a successful output, so you can iterate without budgeting for failures.
Five ways to save credits
- Draft cheap, finalize expensive. Iterate on composition and prompt with a 2-credit model (Z-Image Turbo or GPT Image 2 at 1K), and only re-run on a pricier model or at higher resolution once the result is right.
